Black Robots began as a socio-political art piece that paralleled social engineering with computer networking models. Social engineering is the use of centralized planning in an attempt to manage social change and regulate the future development and behavior of a society. It is also the art of gaining access to systems or data by exploiting human psychology, rather than by breaking in or using traditional hacking techniques. Both methods of social engineering have been used on a wide scale basis to destabilize societies for many years.

A computer network is a group of computer systems that are linked together to facilitate communication and resource-sharing among a wide range of users. A client/server network contains a centralized, powerful computer (called the server) and functions as the hub for which many less powerful personal computers or workstations (called clients) are connected.

If you closely examine social engineering concepts and compare it to any client/server network model you'll see exactly how society is being programmed, controlled, and conditioned.

Black Robots is an artistic campaign to stimulate us to wake up and liberate ourselves from the societal and technological chains that continue to keep us in bondage.
